MEDICAL UPDATE: ERIC
XTASY
February 11th, 2010
IWCwrestling.com has
received the following update from the family of Eric Xtasy. On
Saturday, January 30th at IWC Kickoff 2010, Eric Xtasy along with Justin
Idol competed in a 2 out of 3 falls tag team championship match against
the Irish Airborne. The first fall concluded when Xtasy was the victim
of a top rope power bomb. Afterwards, Eric was motionless for several
minutes following the move until IWC physician Dr. Nick Ditullio and
several fellow wrestlers helped Eric to the locker room area. It
appeared that Eric’s head and neck took a severe impact that resulted in
him losing consciousness and blacking out. Eric later came to and was
assisted home by friends and family. Monday morning following the event,
Eric received medical treatment from Dr. Kam Gosai of Bentleyville, PA.
Dr. Gosai has since diagnosed Xtasy with a Grade 3 concussion.
Unfortunately, Eric continues to suffer from erratic bouts of nausea and
dizziness. Dr. Gosai has given the early prognosis that Eric will be out
of action for at least 2-4 months depending if symptoms persist. Eric
has not been available for comment, however his family offered that you
feel free to send him your “get-well wishes” to
ericxtasy@gmail.com. We here at
IWC wish Eric Xtasy a full recovery and will keep you posted on Eric’s
condition.
