A capacity crowd of 350 fans was in attendance on January 25 at Northgate High School in Bellevue for IWC’s action-packed fundaiser show to help raise money for the school’s Spanish Class trip to New York City. The evening saw Jimmy Vega$ defeat CM Punk in a hard-fought battle to retain his IWC Heavyweight Title while Super Hentai scored a pinfall against Classic Colt Cabana to hang on to his IWC Super Indy Title. The show’s wildcard turned out to be Shirley Doe’s mysterious masked cohort known only as “X” who assisted Doe in his victory over Bubba the Bulldog, and also joined Doe to thwart Sexual Harassment’s attempt to regain their IWC Tag Team Championship belts from The Devil’s Advocates in a street fight. Later in the evening, the Advocates interfered in a match-up between Dustin Ardine and Trevor Lowe causing a no-contest, which prompted IWC promoter Norm Connors to force the Advocates into a second Tag Team Title defense by teaming Lowe and Ardine against them. The Advocates somehow escaped with another controversial victory.
Other match-ups featured the IWC debuts of Al B Damm and Carlton Kaz, who amazed the audience with a wild, fast-paced, high-flying opening match with Damm scoring the pin. IWC bad boy Dean Radford pummelled his way to a victory against the charismatic Spider Mask, while T.Rantula defeated the returning Steel City Wrestling icon, Frank Staletto, in a “retro match” to commemorate Norm Connors’ 10-year anniversary involvement in promoting professional wrestling in Western Pennsylvania. IWC show sponsor Jerrys 1888 Tavern also assisted the Spanish Class by placing the highest bid of $150 in an auction for a poster signed by all of the IWC superstars. It was a stellar night of action and mayhem that wrestling fans have come to expect from the International Wrestling Cartel, and IWC delivered! Stay tuned for unfolding developments over the mysterious “X” as well as IWC’s first television taping!
