  7. IWC World Heavyweight Champion Ricky Reyes vs. Low Ki went to a no-contest

IWC’s Revengeance 3, Saturday, October 14 at the Court Time Sports Center in Elizabeth, Pa was headlined by a rematch of the finals of the prior month’s Boiling Point 2 Heavyweight Title Tournament, as the former Rottweiler and Havana Pitbull Ricky Reyes made his first IWC Title defense against former running buddy and current TNA X Division Champion Low-ki. With Shirley Doe and the rest of the Unholy Alliance seemingly out of the IWC Title picture, fans were treated to a respectful and honorable competitive exchange between two of the most disciplined athletes around today. However, as the match intensified and it appeared Low-ki may be en route to victory, the Alliance struck. HENTAI, Sebastian Dark, and former champion Shirley Doe raided the ring in an attempt to regain dominance at the top of the card. However, once both Reyes and Low ki found themselves at odds, they instinctively banned together to fight off the enemy, ending in a Ghetto Stomp to Sebastian Dark. The match was thrown out and ruled a no-contest, but a major statement had been made by the Unholy Alliance: they still now and will forever more have their sights set on the prestige and power that comes with being IWC Champion.

“Fabulous” John McChesney was granted another opportunity at Super Indy Champion Delirious following some of the questionable ways Delirious had obtained victory in prior meetings. As we had seen in weeks prior, McChesney seemed en route to capturing his record third Super Indy Championship, however Daizee Haze, Delirious’ “interpreter” physically involved herself in the match once again, tripping up McChesney and allowing her charge to capitalize. Her involvement did not go unnoticed however, as one final meeting between the Fabulous one and Delirious has been signed for November 11. And in order to keep things on the up-and-up, Daizee Haze will be barred from ringside! There will be no outside involvement keeping John McChesney from working toward the title he’s been chasing ever since his second reign ended this past March.

New tag team champions were crowned in one of the most violent and bloody IWC tag title matches in history. Champions The Cleveland Mafia, J-Rocc & Ray Rowe, were prepared to face the challenging Mickey & Marshall Gambino, but they were perhaps not as ready for the garbage can full of toys The Bull wheeled out to ringside with him. Inside was a number of metallic weapons, and unbeknownst to anyone but perhaps the challengers, the biggest ace up their sleeve was inside the garbage can as well, in the form of their cousin Jimmy DeMarco. DeMarco made a strategic appearance surprising the unsuspecting Rocc & Rowe with weapons shots, and at first it appeared Mickey Gambino was still against the behavior of his brother & cousin, but Mickey embraced his family, then along with Marshall, hit the Curse of the Gambino to win the tag titles for the second time. The family is back together, and strangely enough, Jimmy DeMarco, the man who said The Gambinos would be champions if they just listen to him, was proven right all along.

From championship matches to guaranteed title shots, as longest reigning IWC Champion in history Shirley Doe took on alleged ICW/ICWA Tex-Arkana Television Champion “Sweet & Sour” Larry Sweeney in a match of two men who look like polar opposites on the surface, but proved they thought in much the same fashion. After the IWC fans mocked Doe’s eye injury suffered back last August by throwing dozens of tiny replica eyeballs at him, referee Bobby Williams (who was repeatedly called on to officiate Unholy Alliance matches to prevent former senior referee Steven Colter from abusing any remaining power he had any further) began checking both men for foreign objects, of which many were discovered, including a not-so-discreetly hidden chain inside Sweeney’s attire. Through all of the chains, utensils, and powder, Shirley Doe survived as the victor, and more importantly, was guaranteed a title match in the near future.

Meanwhile, fellow Unholy Alliance member Dean Radford crossed paths with the recently unretired former IWC referee CJ Sensation. If CJ could defeat Radford, he would receive the match he wants more than anything, one-on-one with the man who spent months bullying Sensation when CJ was a referee: Sebastian Dark. However Sebastian Dark, as well as Shirley Doe’s interference, made the numbers too great for anyone to conquer, and Sensation was driven directly onto his surgically repaired neck with a Super Radicator. The Alliance used 3-on-1 odds to defeat “The Snapshot” tonight, but one thing we’ve learned is that it’s impossible to keep CJ Sensation down.

“Balls Hot” Troy Lords is another man impossible to keep down, but on the surface it seemed he was temporarily slowed down by the latest in a series of knee injuries. Lords attempted to address his fans at Revengeance, but was interrupted by the man who robbed Lords of his chance to win Super Indy 5, HENTAI. HENTAI berated Lords, a man he had once served as a trainer and mentor for, saying Lords was weak and could never stand on his own two feet, and that Troy Lords could’ve never handled the pressure of being Super Indy champion. He even went as far as to challenge Troy to a match on November 11 and gave Lords the power to pick any stipulation he wanted. As HENTAI continued to berate and provoke a seemingly defenseless Lords, The Hotness snapped and began attacking the Alliance member, showing no sign of knee damage and revealing the apparent “injury” as a clever ploy. Lords broke a metal crutch over the back of HENTAI before accepting the match challenge and naming his stipulation, and after HENTAI’s remarks it was only natural he choose one of the most brutal matches in our sport, a Last Man Standing Match. Lords finally has an opportunity to silence the man who ruined his 5 year journey to singles gold, and HENTAI has a chance to possibly end the success story of Troy Lords once and for all.

The trio of Shiima Xion & Jason Gory alongside Chris Maverick (now renamed “Baby Face Fire”) stepped into action against Sexual Harassment, the ambiguous Eric Xtasy and his unlikely partner Justin Idol, and perhaps just as intriguing as the match itself was the actions of Xion’s longtime advisor Chris Maverick. Maverick, who has been seen closely watching Xtasy & Idol’s matches in the past, appeared to be aiming at Jason Gory’s eyes with his infamous can of hairspray. However, Gory moved, and Xtasy was the recipient of the substance. The incident led to a Gory & Xion victory, however promoter Norm Connors was not going to let Maverick get away with attempted to sabotaging the Gory/Xion tag team yet again. Connors motioned Shiima to the Digital Horizons tech area, and showed him video footage of Maverick’s latest calculated “accidental” attack of Gory. Shiima became irate and one must wonder if the longstanding Shiima/Maverick business relationship can be salvaged.

Vendetta, accompanied by his new running buddy Jimmy DeMarco, faced the debuting Michael “The Bomber” Façade, a man who likes to be called a “Suburban Terrorist”. Vendetta gave Façade the opportunity to join forces with himself & DeMarco, alleging Norm Connors was out to kill the credibility of Façade, just as he had allegedly done with Vendetta & DeMarco in the past. Façade refused and, in his first ever professional match, held his own with the much larger Vendetta, but was no match for the Means to an End, which gave Vendetta his latest win.
