No Excuses 4, IWC’s signature event of the summer emanated from the Court Time Sports Center in Elizabeth, Pa on Saturday night, August 2.

The main event featured the escalation of a tag team title war that has captivated crowds for months as new champions Sexual Harassment, fresh off discovering the missing piece to their proverbial puzzle, defended against former champions Babyface Fire in a brutal & barbaric Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. All four athletes provided fans with a violent and innovative display of action, that left bodies broken and, in the case of Shiima, a deep laceration on the back of his head. After several minutes of sadistic warfare, Sexual Harassment proved to be a tad more resilient than their adversaries. A Spirit Crusher through a table by Justin Idol was the beginning of the end of BFF’s aspirations to regain the gold.

The evening’s other title bout saw Jerry Lynn defend his Super Indy Title against Super Hentai, in a revisit of their classic title war from six years earlier, when Hentai was just beginning his record setting Super Indy Title reign. Tonight, Lynn avenged the loss from six years before with the Cradle Piledriver, and after the match both athletes showed that despite their in-ring tenacity and fierce competitiveness, both men have a strong mutual respect for the other.

Irresistible force met immovable object when “Baddest Man in IWC” Ray Rowe collided with 6’8 358 lb. mammoth Jason Bane, the hired henchman of Rowe’s former partner J-Rocc, with the specific goal in mind to eliminate Rowe from professional wrestling. Both men displayed freakish power with a barrage of suplexes, but Rowe was able to live up to his namesake and slay the giant. Rowe obliterated Bane with his version of the Chaos Theory, and when it was all said and done, there was only one goal left in mind. Now Ray Rowe is coming for J-Rocc. But just before leaving the building, Rocc told Rowe “That’s the Ray Rowe I’ve been looking for”. What kind of message is Rocc trying to send Rowe? Reconciliation or a psychological ploy?

The master of psychological ploys Jake “The Snake” Roberts joined forces with Michael “The Bomber” Façade’s as part of the Suburban Terrorist’s mission to avenge the “hit” put out on him by The Family some months back, as this diverse duo battled “Bald Evil” Vendetta and the mentally corrupt “DeeeLicious” Jimmy DeMarco complete with his “DDT Protection Device” aka a plastic fruit bowl duct taped to his head. Shockingly enough, no amount of festive dishes were enough to keep the lights from going out on the Hollywood Balds. Roberts & Façade emerged victorious, but Roberts was met by a determined John McChesney following the bout.

“Fabulous” John McChesney had seemingly taken a 180-degree turn. After growing resentment toward IWC Champion Dennis Gregory’s selfish and unappreciative nature, McChesney has begun making waves about wanting to challenge his former boss for the heavyweight crown. McChesney went a long way in proving himself worthy tonight by overcoming former champion and the main Gregory screwed time and time again to win and retain the gold, Ricky Reyes. Has McChesney turned over a new leaf? And if so, how will Dennis Gregory react to this troop revolt?

Johnny Gargano, newest protégé of Super Indy Champion Jerry Lynn, continued his winning ways by besting former IWC Tag Champion “M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross, now an international megastar throughout Europe and Japan. Gargano locked in his signature maneuver, a full nelson face buster called “Uniquely You” to score the win, and no doubt please his respected mentor.

Mickey & Marshall Gambino were able to avenge the disrespect they felt they suffered at the hands of The Best Around, “The Immaculate” TJ Cannon & “Picture Perfect” Bruce Maxwell, back at Basebrawl with a victory here tonight against the upstart high-flying team, showing that the humiliation suffered one month ago at Ellsworth will not make The Family any less ruthless or deadly.

Logan Shulo, in only his third professional match, was able to best CJ Sensation after two consecutive months of CJ illegally holding the ropes for pinfall victories. Shulo continues to show amazing potential and fantastic agility and speed for a man his size. This win over a very able veteran should only further open the eyes of fans and insiders alike to Shulo’s ever-growing ring repertoire.
